<image:caption>Correct Foot placement allows you to rest while gliding. Rear foot should be above mast or slightly to the aft of mast. This allows for you to pivot more easily while pumping. Moving the mast forward means the board wants to rise up sooner which is a good thing once you get comfortable and thus allowing you to use your body weight to push the board back down as opposed to having the mast too far back and you trying to raise the board by applying pressure on the back foot. Experimenting with mast position can change the amount of energy you’re using drastically. Behind a boat its a simple adjustment to see if it works, if not, simply try moving it the other way. Pretty difficult to do this in the waves while surfing.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Riding open ocean swells offshore helps build confidence connecting waves and forcing you to continually look for ocean energy. Having a boat escort takes away that fear that you possibly break something or get too tired. A couple minutes of rest along with a sandwich and drink will have you ready to be towed into another swell.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Whether it’s SUP / PRONE / WINGING / KITING it all starts with learning to control ALTITUDE on the Foil. That takes practice and doing it alone in the waves is not going to help you master that simple technique faster than behind a ski or boat.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Learn to Foil</image:title>
<image:caption>Anyone can Learn…. NO ONE learns to foil immediately, it takes patience and WILL, along with a whole lot of Humble Pie:) Hand someone a guitar for the first time, will they SING you a SONG ? Chords lead to progressions to timing and then the confidence comes to Play and Sing…..Same exact thing happens in foiling, EXCEPT it happens a lot faster. Having a solid base and knowing the correct technique will have you reaching your goal within weeks not months.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Pumping</image:title>
<image:caption>Simply riding the small wake generated by the board teaches you to find that SWEET spot where the energy is stored. This is where you experiment with weight distribution not only between front and rear foot, but sideways as well. So often i see a student hunched with their weight basically over the rail and therefore having to make a lot of adjustments to correct for it. Video replay of how you’re standing will help solve this problem fast.</image:caption>
